Geostationary Orbit Activity

Directions

This Sputnik activity will help you apply what you've been studying in Physics class to solve a challenging engineering problem: geostationary orbit.

π Since part of this Sputnik activity includes formulas, you need to make sure that your browser is prepared to display them properly. If your browser is configured correctly, the symbol to the left of this paragraph should look like the Greek character pi.

If the symbol above doesn't look like a pi, then you need to configure your browser to use the full Latin character set. If you're using Netscape Navigator 2.0 for the Macintosh, just choose Document Encoding from the Options menu, and then choose the Western (MacRoman) item from the submenu that appears. Once this is all set, you're ready to begin!

Click this button if something on this page really confused you, you have an idea on how to improve it, or you have some other page-specific comment.
